Darcey Klaahsen graduated with a B.A. in Biotechnology from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999. Darcey completed her Master of Science in Genetics in May 2002 from Kansas State University. Since graduating Darcey has worked in academia (KSU, TAMU, UI), government (USDA), and industry (IDT). She joined the Tucker Lab as a Research Assistant in 2012. Darcey is working on Crispr gene editing as part of the gene therapy pipeline and also on RPGR (retinitis pigmentosa) ORF15 cloning and genetic testing.
